999 porrasta ylös ja alas myöhemmin.
/So when my travel companion said to me: There's also this one place called 'Tianmen shan', I was like 'Tianmen', in Beijing, right? Been there many times. But what he meant was something different. This is a huge cave in the mountain Tianmen, the gate of heaven, and 999 stairs lead to that. Of course it's unadvisable to climb it if a) you've already climbed AND got lost in Wudangshan, or b) have a hip issue which should really be cut open... So of course we did it... And yes, it was worth it. We were in luck, as the mountain had been in a cloud-fog for days, but now it peaked for short clearness and sunlight just upon our arrival by bus (as we had not booked the longest cable car in Asia - which obviously is something to cover for next time)... Up in the heaven's gate cave, there was this misty feeling of Lord of the Rings or Rivendell - quite special, and definitely worth the climb... Afterwards we were so beaten that couldn't even talk to each other before getting some food into the system. But blimey. This was a special place, on our last day on the road in Hunan province.
