IMAILE in EDULEARN 2017

Today I am in Barcelona, Spain. Presenting IMAILE project's work.

The title of the presentation was: "Innovations to design personalized learning environments for STEM education of the future?"
The idea was to present the work in IMAILE project for the last 4 years. I am the technical manager of this project and the research that we have been conducting this year has been overseeing the innovations in PLEs current state and testing the innovative solutions of Yiptree and Amigo in classrooms around Europe this spring and in the coming Autumn.
Networking with EU funded STIMEY project.
Edulearn is a great forum to present project results. There are more than 700 teachers, educators and learning technology experts present from over 80 countries around the world. Specifically we worked alongside with EU funded STIMEY project which is building STEM educational environment for the Youth.

The session that my presentation was in, was for personalised learning environments and of course it is interesting to see what is going on all around the world. Other presenters were from countries like UK, US, Russia and Croatia...
Edulearn is a great place to get an overview of what is the state-of-the-art innovations in learning technologies that people are talking about right now. Keynote of Jennie Magiera introduced Google cardboard results from her classroom and the impact was quite compelling. Kids really believed they had reached the Mount Everest Summit for example and the pure interest towards learning that spiked out of these kids... Priceless.

The world is changing. We are all along for the ride.

Augmented reality.
Artificial intelligence.
Virtual reality.
Big Data.
Internet of Things.

Are you ready?
