Summing up my year of 2025, once again in English. I do this every year.
1. What did you do in 2025 that you’d never done before?

Well, I bought a house "Omakotitalo" and moved in with my family. Biggest investment and probably once in a lifetime event of the year.
2. Did you keep you New Year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I kept some of them but not most and for 2026 I will be making more. I succeeded in getting my son to poo to the toilet and letting go of his baby bottles! Small victories!

Not this year.

Yes my aunt died in November.

It was buying our house and selling our old home. For this I needed so much help from family & friends, thank you for helping me so much also this year.

I was unable to take good care of my own health

Not personally but Juha was more or less ill all year long including three times of his hip dislocating

Our home
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My brother has been such support to me all year long and also his partner Orsi have helped me so much this year. We also have an incredible working group at the moment in the university and in total we submitted 30 consortium applications!
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Well this time this person knows exactly, but I dont need to advertise it
14. Where did most of your money go?
To walls! House and of course apartment maintenance, loans and whatnot
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about
Family trip abroad during the summer, but also fixing our summer cottage's floor/porch.

I. happier or sadder? Well - overall I'm happy even when It's been incredibly sad end of the year

We spent it in our new house and it was the best of times, my brother stayed over and we had a long Christmas sauna & Jacuzzi with the kids.

Well it was once again Survivor, my favourite escape from the world for the last 25 years already. Recently I watched Sirens which was also quite ok. But what I was very excited of was "Survivors play Blood on the Clocktower" in youtube... Call me sad.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you did not hate this time last year?
No
26. What was the best book you read?
My books this year were: Never Split the Difference, Woman in the Polar Night (which was by far the best book of the year - it's a true story of a woman in the 20s moving to Svalbard for a year), Life in Svalbard ad E-Myth Re-visited.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Rodeo & Chappelle Roan (Thanks Juuli!)
28. What did you want and get?
My own house
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
I watched a couple of Christmas films on Netflix but I would not mention them so I cannot say there is any film of the year. It's sad even on how little films I've watched. Oh we did watch some Marvel in the spring to complete some lists, but that isnt too motivating for me right now... I just dont have time to sit down for 2h without iterruptions so I prefer TV shows.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I was 44. I went to birthday breakfast with the girls and then invited my family around. S baked me a lovely cake!
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Not having to deal with mr. Hyde

This is very good question but I guess my goals and occasionally taking 'me time'.

This year I would say Rob Cesternino & Taylor Swift

I really dont follow politics much but I guess

I missed my aunt
38. Who was the best new person you met?
Jason Tacher was actually quite fun! I also finally met Pambos, but I dont know if he qualifies as 'new'.

If someone looks like they are dieing, there is no time to waste and you should be there.
