Luxemburg

 Tulipa sitten pyörähdettyä Luxemburgissa. / I was two days in Luxemburg

 Tämä oli eka reissuni tähän Euroopan keskellä sijaitsevaan minivaltioon. / This was my first trip.

 Nämä kuvat eivät tee oikeutta sille vehreydelle. / These pictures dont really show how green the old centre of Luxemburg actually is.

 Vaikka Luxemburg vaikuttaakin aika tavanomaiselta Eurooppalaispääkaupungilta, on sillä kuitenkin todella upea vanhaa kaupunkia kiertävä 'vallihauta' laakso, joka on täynnä upeita vanhoja puita ja taloja. / The most impressive part of Luxemburg is the old centre's surrounding moat (?), or valley full of old trees and buildings, which are exquisitly beautiful.

 Maisemassa oli myös linnoja ja minareetteja. / On the vista there is also castles and minarets.

 Nähtävää olisi tosiaankin enemmän kuin me 1h kävelylenkillä ehdimme katsomaan. / There's plenty more to see that I could cover with my colleagues with around one hour walk.

 Ilma oli lämmin pohjoiseurooppalaisen mielestä, mutta etelä-eurooppalaisen/brazilialaisen kolleegani mielestä se oli kylmä. / Hot and cold are states of mind, what to a Finn was summer, was autumn weather for my Portugese-Brazilian colleague, Rosa.

 Vallihaudan pohjalla olevaan suurpuistoon olisi sopiva mennä lemmiskelemään. / Recommended activities in the bottom of the moat-park is to make out with a cute guy.

 Laajakuvalinssi olisi saanut olla mukana. / I missed my wide angle lens.

 Joskus paremmalla ajalla minä kävelen nämä raput alas. / On another time, I'll walk these steps down.

 Pudotus oli jyrkkä. / The drop was deep.

Tätä maisemaa olisi voinut katsella tuntikausia. / I could have looked at this view for hours.

 Ihania pikkupolkuja. /Lovely little walks.

 Ihastuin tähän kaupunkiin kyllä joo. / Did fall for the city. Just a little.

 Ja parasta seuraa mun saksatytöistä. / And my best girls from Germany

 Sateenvarjokatu piti toki tsekata myös. / The umbrella street was a must as well, of course.

 Vain Maija Poppasta odoteltiin. / Looking for Mary Poppins.

 Rosalla on nälkä. / Then we were quite hungry.

 Marakeshlainen Karim-tarjoilija kertoi meille erikoisuuksista italiaksi ja ranskaksi. / Our Marakesh-born waiter, Karim, told us about the specialities in Italian and French.

 Ai että mä tykkään Eurooppalaisten pikkukaupunkien kesäöistä. / It probably does not come as a surprise but I'm a big fan of European cities dark, hot summer nights.

 Luxemburg on kaupunkina kallis. Mutta ei Suomea kalliimpi. / Luxemburg as a city is expensive, but no more than Finland.

 Rose-viiniä ja hyviä keskusteluja. /Rose wine and good conversation.

 Mä söin tavalleni uskollisesti mereneläviä dinneriksi. / I was loyal to my sea food dinner line.

 Sellainen oli ilta Luxemburgissa. Suosittelen lämpimästi siellä kävelemistä - se lienee paras tapa kokea tämä kaupunki. Joku päivä uudestaan! / That was my one night in the old town of Luxemburg. I recommend warmly to walk around there - that's the best way of experiencing the city. One day again!
