e are facing a real new situation in our lives. We have never had weekends. Someone has always been working. Even before Tops was born. So now as he's staying at the daycare full days, technically we should be able to have the weekends to ourselves, family time. Over this weekend, we have been puzzled: What is this quality time that people spend with their families? How to think of activities which would not be dead boring to 1-2/3 people? I mean let's face it: Whatever the activity is, someone is making a compromise. Unless you all three REALLy enjoy something together. For all three of us, I think it's only TV... I really tried very hard to think of things to do with my family this weekend and we came to the old reliable option of going to Peukkula. It was a compromise to the adoults, but of course Tops was over the moon, as he really loves it there. I am often wondering how other families get their lives organized so that they like to do all the same things... I hope that when my son learns to speak, this brings up a whole lot more options to the range of things to do.
