Repsukka

Yesterday didn't really go according to plan. And here is the reason sleeping on the sofa which he has done a lot today. He's got a mild fever and snot and coff, which surfaces as vommit if he eats too much. Poor darling. It's not the easiest day of parenthood today. Light at the end of the tunnel provided the doctor who I spoke on the phone with. He told me the following:
- All Tops's lab results so far are normal. He does not have an epilepsy tendency, he doesn't have additional chromosomes, his hemoglobin is fine etc. This is perfectly normal with an autistic child.
- He said that it's absolutely that his regression has got nothing to do with whatever we would have done - it comes from within himself. So now that there is a doctor saying that, I am hoping it will stop the speculations in all of our minds.
- Only at the age of 5-6 years of we can get some kind of idea of his future. Where is he in the spectrum? The doctor did not rule out Asperger nor the classic autisism. What we know, he has got problems in three areas: Speech development, communication development and learning. These things fit the autistic spectrum and therefore we know how to help him. That's a big relief, to know that by helping him, he can get a lot better.
