Viikko meidän kanssa: Sunnuntai

Sunnuntaina heräillään hitaasti kahdeksan maissa. Pitkät yöunet jippijai musta alkaa tuntua taas ihmiseltä. Otetaan topsun kanssa lunkisti ja alan selata What's uppia sängyssä. Perheeni ryhmä on aika aktiivinen ja serkkuni on tällä hetkellä Uudessa Seelannissa maailmanympärysmatkallaan. Sieltä tulee upeista paikoista kuvia päivittäin. /On Sunday we wake up slowly at eight. Loooong sleep has made me feel almost like a human being. We take it easy, Tops and I - today will be a quality mother-son day. I am What's upping with my family. My cousin is on around the world trip and currently in New Zealand. Jealous!
Päivitän instagrammia. Meitähän voi seurailla Finn_world tunnuksella. / I update my instagram. You can follow our daily life in real time at Finn_world.
Aamiaiseksi poikanen haluaa pakastemansikoita. / Tops gets to choose breakfast and it's frozen strawberries.
Minä taas valitsen aamiaiseksi sieni-pekoni-paprikamunakasta. / My choice is a mushroom bacon pepper omelette.
Postaan sukulaisten ryhmään eilisen kuvia. / I post yesterday's photos to my family's What's up group.Toista keskustelua käyn Jyväskylän Shorinji Kempon vetäjien ryhmässä, tän illan kempotreeneistä. /  Another conversation is in the group of the Shorinji Kempo teachers about today's class.
/Then we go to the long expected meeting of us and BIMU's family. They also have an autstic kid, and we are all very reliefed to meet each other for the first time. She's asian on her ethnique background which makes it very easy for me to feel like we've known each other for years. Her husband has done martial arts for years! Her children are very cute little bundles of joy and Tops seems to attract them as somewhat of a following for his quest to find the most dangerous things to do in the playground. It's comforting to listen to someone with the same issues and griefs, and it is also interesting to contemplate how one's life can become different based on whether you know your firstborn is autistic before or after you are pregnant with the second one. I grief that my child might never have siblings. She griefs that she's not been able to give a 100% to her firstborn because of her other two kids. I guess this is the burden of being a mother. You can never win. Whatever you do. Even if your child is completely normal. And it's such a relief to meet those people like BIMU, whose child is just like mine. Except also different. These two kids are both so beautiful, but yet it is so beyond our understanding how their minds work. Still, secretly I am reliefed to talk to an autistic parent in English. Sometimes it makes me feel I can express things I cannot say in Finnish.
Treffien jälkeen lähdetään uimaan. /After the fun new friends meeting - it's time for a swim.
/We swim for an hour, but we are in no hurry at all, so we loiter in the sauna and dry hair and so on. Usually daddy's waiting, but today, we have absolutely nowhere to be...
Mieheni tulee kotiin vasta tiistaina, joten meidän täytyy pärjätä yksi päivä normaalia pidempään./After the swimming we stop by at the local small store. There is no close by store, so it's a habbit that after swimming we go to K-market near by the swmming hall. My husband will be back on Tuesday so still have to make it for a few days.
Ostan kaikkia niitä ihania asioita, joita en normaalisti saa, koska en itse koskaan käy kaupassa. Herkkuja: Kylmäsavulohta. Sesaminsiemenrouhetta. Mämmiä. Kermaa(!) ja viime tingassa A haluaa vielä minttusuklaajäätelöä. Tää ei pääty hyvin, sanokaa mun sanoneen. Tän takia mä en käy yksin kaupassa koskaan. Piste./Going shopping with an autistic kid can be a chalenge. Going shopping with ANY kid also, I don't deny that. You have to have your tactic ready. Ours is this: We go straight to the apple counter and when my son gets mesmorized by the hypnotising power of the apple for the next 7 minutes, I get to shop at peace. As long as we keep on moving. I buy all the things which I never remember to ask my husband to buy on Mondays. Some delicasies like smoked salmon. Sesame seeds. Mämmi! Cream! And at the end A wants mint chocolate ice cream which I know will not end well, but I buy it anyways. And real coffee. Amen!
Kotipihassa normileikit jatkuu./When we are back, we stay outside for a while.
Kotikatu paras. / This is my home street.
Voi mikä nautinto. Kahvi ja mämmi ja kerma./Yeah, I'm easy to please. Mämmi and cream.
Iltapäivällä otetaan tanssit Suomipopin tahtiin youtubesta./In the afternoon we put on Finnish pop on You Tube and start to dance.
Laatuaikaa. /Quality time.
SItten tehdään harjoituksia./Then it's time for the speech theraphy excersises.
Poika alkaa olla näissä jo tosi hyvä. / A starts to be reall good at them.
Mitä näistä aineista tehdään. / What are things made of?
Laita lusikka kuppiin. / Put the spoon into the mug.
Merkataan listaan, miten menee. / Then we mark to the list, how we are doing. He's doing awesome, except for the blowing excersises which he sucks at.
Harjoitusten jälkeen jumpat olkkarissa jatkuu. /After the excersises, circus training in the livingroom continues.
Antoraasi seuraa ikkunalaudalta. /Entourage follows from the window shelf.
"Sulle tytöt on leikkiä vain, pelkkää huvia huoletonta." Vanhoja fiilistelybiisejä. /Good old Finnish pop songs.
Äkkiä yläkerrasta kuuluu ääntä. Yosetsune-pupu on tehnyt hypyn vessanpönttöön. Se pääsee pesulle ja kuivatukseen. /Suddenly I hear a noise from the upstars. Yosetsune-bunny has taken a leap to the toilet and has to get washed and dried.
Suunnittelen illan HIIT-treeniä. /I plan tonight's HIIT training for the Shorinji Kempo class.
Sitten lähdetään vielä illan treeneihin. / Then we leave for tonight's training.
/We run around the tatami and I have a chance to train some techniques with Otso briefly.
Nyt on tän viikon jumpat pulkassa. / That's it for the sports of this week.
Ulkona on hieno auringonlasku./Sunday sunset seems quite nice.
Koska on edelleen aikaa, ollaan vielä läheisessä puistossa hetki. / As we still have time, we spend it in a local park.
Iltapalaksi herkkusalaattia, jossa on lohta ja cheddarjuustoa. /Salmon and cheddar salad for dinner.
En ikinä katso teeveetä, mut tänään on äänestyspäivä, joten yritän herätellä mun digiboksia henkiin. Alkuun näyttää aika tovottomalta. / I never watch Finnish television, but since it's election day, I fight with my digibox to get the Finnish politians to my livingroom... It looks pretty hopeless at first.
Mut sit onnistuu. Ja vihreät saavat mahtavat 5 uutta paikkaa, mukaanlukien yhden Keski-Suomesta, jesh! Mun ääni ei mennyt hukkaan. /But then I get it to work. And the Green party gets 5 new places in the parlament, including one from Central Finland! My vote was not for nothing!
When the boy falls asleep, I eat an extra portion of Mämmi and Cream. I deserved it! Even though it's superlovely to hang out with my baby, it's also pretty exhausting to be the single parent for a weekend.

/Tomorrow I am having a guest come over, so I am making a mushroom pie in the owen so that I can focus on socialising on Monday night.

This was my week in April 2015 in Jyväskylä. Did you enjoy the ride? I might write about our week in UK or China during the summer if this is a style of posting that you like. At least it's fun to look back on how our lives were this year... Time goes by so fast and this spring is only happening once. Even when sometimes life seems to be about cooking and cleaning and working. It's good to remember that yes it was also about parties and friends and family. <3
