Aika kuluu kyllä ihan hirveän nopeasti. Ei uskoisi, että en vuoden 2008 ole ollut Karlstadissa... Trip down memorylane...
Yesterday we've been on a road to Karlstad. It's a two day process to drive via Helsinki, then take the ferry over night to Stockholm and drive like 4 more hours to Karlstad. You could also go via Turku, but since my cousin lives in Helsinki, this was more convenient for us. Silja Serenade ferry is a wonderland for a 4-year-old. Everything is exciting: The cabin, the jaccuzi world, the social company of the relatives... The ball pits! The flying men and transsexual singers. It's the full entertainment works. Topfish even gets excited about the corridors. He's been a very good boy on this trip and has not complained about the loooong hours in the car. Nor the walking. The only thing he was upset about was that we wanted to go to sleep with the lights off. This was a bit scary for him, so he protested a little. But then fell asleep next to me. He's been eating well - mash potatoes, rice, bread&butter, even some meat balls, which he did not enjoy but ate as I insisted. The only thing non enjoyable so far has been the lingering cold that he picked from the daycare when he left, which I now have as well. Oh well, I suppose that will make it somehow justifiable that I can't train much anyways - as he's with me, I don't think he's going to allow it. If we are tired, we'll just come back to the hotel to sleep. However, I'm happy to be here and happy to see all my kenshi friends from all over Europe again. Let's all cheer up! It's Nihon bare from now on - And in Sweden, the sun ALWAYS shines, don't you know that by now...?
