Nämä kuvat ovat oikeasti viime viikolta ja tuosta meidän kotikadun päästä eli Da Yantaan alueelta. Eli Suomeksi Suuren Hanhipagodan alueelta. Siellä riittää shoppailtavaa ja kuvattavaa kyllä, vaikka olenkin näissä maisemissa viettänyt hetken jos toisenkin elämästäni. Ei hassunpi paikka viettää marraskuuta.
It's November alright. I made a conscious choise skipping November in Finland for the third year in a row. It is by far the most miserable of the months, the darkest and least hopeful as all the winter months are still ahead. But by skipping November, we step into darkness only in December which does go very fast thanks to the holidays and pretty soon you are in January already. This kind of setting fits me very well. I like the Autumn months of +5-20C times where you can wear boots and leather coats, without freezing one's arse off. So this is extending that September to last three months, really. Lasy year we had 7 months of summer and that was pretty good too, can't deny that. This year my relatives decided to opt out of the Finn Christmas and so we are going to UK for two weeks in December. This is due to the fact that since my father died, we have had only scattered traditions and all in all, the chistmas in UK at my mother-in-law's has started to feel most like Christmas to me. It will be beautiful and peaceful. Not much more to ask. These pictures are from the end of our home road, the Yanta xilu, The Western road from the Wild Big Goose Pagoda. This area gives out great picture opportunities, shopping and playgrounds, which means that we are often spending time around here. Always something new to see. Not a bad place to spend November.
