So it's taken me 7 months in Xi'an to visit the small wild goose pagoda, but I finally did it this week with Topfish. This 43 metre pagoda was built 707-709 during Tang dynasty and was one of the two buildings left in Xi'an after the campital was moved to Luoyang... Of course the other was my beloved Da Yanta, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Both of these buildings are located about 30minutes walk from our home, but one of them I have seen tens of times and climbed twice. So it was approperiate to finally visit this one too. The small goose pagoda is 15 layers and it was damaged in the 1556 Shaanxi Earthquake. Two metres was cut off the top. I watched a 3D demonstration of the earthquake in the Xi'an museum which is located in the small goose pagoda area. There is also a park and a temple area attached. Topfish thought the best part of this place was the fish pond and he would have liked to have jumped into the lake with the colorful fish all around there. Stupid mother who prevented this.
