While in Shikoku, we stayed in Marugame, two train stops away from Tadotsu. This is because Tadotsu is such a small town that there really isn't places for 300 foreign kenshis to spend the night there... But anyways, Marugame is easy to reach by train or by taxi (maybe 15-20minutes to Hombu). We stayed in Marugame Plaza hotel, which was perfectly nice, quite close to the station, quite cheap, but unfortunately did not have a WLAN that would be accessible for foreigners.
Marugame itself is a small harbor town, with nothing special, except for one of the only remaining original castles of Japan. I will show the castle in another post though. We scouted the environment around Marugame Plaza hotel to have a modern art museum, quite a lot of night clubs, couple of supermarkets, a shopping arcade and of course loads of okonomiyaki restaurants. Pretty basic Japanese town.
